Description: Two parks located adjacent to one another on Royston Road, Blackhill, Glasgow. Neither park would look out of place in Barcelona. Royston Road Park includes a skate or wheel area and a sand filled carpet sports area. The park sits on a slightly raised plateau. Molendinar Park sits in a hollow, where the Molendinar burn is canalised. Recurring features within the parks include the use of colour, robust structures, including bridges and concrete cubes and axial paths. Although completed in 2001 the design of Molendinar Park sits very comfortably within the modernist aesthetic.
